Ok, another question for the hivemind. I asked for late check out of the hospitality suite on the Sunday. The answer I got was "sure, how late".

So...how late should I request? Both Nicole and I live within a reasonable distance, so if someone has a late flight we can always adjourn to one of our abodes (or at least mine, in case Nicole has other plans).

Things that make me sad...I don't think ND and I are going to be able to make it this year. We're trying to be a little smarter about money in order to pay down credit cards, and unless something unexpected comes through, we need to save for this summer. I may be able to tag along with him to Europe for the Mediterranean Nick cruise he will be working. We have the miles to fly me for free, but we still have to come up with a room fee and spending money for that week. (If I were truly smart I wouldn't be going at all, but I just can't see passing up the chance to see Europe at that much of a discount when I've never been anywhere but England before.)

Sad face.

Just checked airfares to Denver, and they made me cry. Of course, airfares from Juneau tend to do that, but still. Sigh.

A fair number of folks have recently expressed that they can't make the F2F. And so far we only have 3 room reservations, one of which is mine.

Do we need to run another poll to make sure we have enough people to make the hospitality suite and prom worth the cost? I had estimated the original cost of the suite/prom at $85/person when we were looking at 18 people. If we are just going to have a handful of people, we can restructure the F2F and have "prom" at my place or something.

Actually, instead of a poll - would you send me an e-mail if you are planning on coming, but just haven't made your hotel reservation yet? If you are a maybe, let me know that too. suzi dot watts at gmail dot com.
