I would kinda love to go on a trail ride in the mountains. Would anyone be interested in this as possibility?

Ok - good news and bad news.

The hotel has rooms available both weekends, we just need to commit to one or the other. Room rates would be $74.95 for either a king or a room with two doubles. All rooms have microwaves and (maybe) a mini fridge. Plus all the free stuff I noted earlier.

For hospitality space we could do a suite with two rooms, though they won't remove the bed, for $125/day OR they have a meeting space on each floor that has a murphy bed and that is $150/day.

Bad news - they do not do alcohol or loud music in any of their meeting rooms (I'm thinking we are ok in our rooms and the hopitality space if we do a suite).

I know that isn't quite deal breaker news - we can do the prom off site. Though off site means driving as there isn't anything workable in walking distance.

Ideas, thoughts, recommendations?

And would someone throw up a poll for the weekends since we can choose from either. The first weekend is Pride, so if anyone is interested, that is a short light rail ride away.

I'm getting the pig!

Suzi, we can throw a poll up on Sunday when we get together, unless you can get to it before that. I'm in the Atlanta airport for another 3.5 hours and then on a plane home.

Erin, trail ride? Like on horses? I know of a place in Golden (near where I work) that rents horses for guided trail rides along the foothills.

I would prefer to keep prom at the hotel, if possible, and we can look at more hotel options on Sunday.

Yeah, we've done prom at a separate location in the past, but weren't they always within easy walking distance of the host hotel? If that's not a possibility I'd say the hotel doesn't meet our needs.
