If it's light, more like 5-10 to Downtown. It's only five miles north. 15-20 to SoDo, where the baseball lives, but 5-10 to the Downtown exits.
You might want to look at your speedometer the next time you try that. There's no way in hell to make it from Northgate to Downtown in sub 10 minutes.
Not unless they decide to give you a frikkin' motorcade and stop any other vehicles from entering the highway.
And realistically, it's going to be summer and it's going to predominantly be the weekend so all bets are off as to the state of traffic. Watching the WSDOT traffic info will be your friend -

Dude, it's five-six miles north of Downtown. I can make it from Northgate to the Stewart or Mercer in under 10 without breaking the speed limit in clear traffic.
