Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

Ann, that's a ferret.

The weather we got during the DC F2F was a fluke - it was unusually hot for that time of the year and there's really no guarantee that any weekend we choose won't have the same thing happen.

Also, a number of us went to Georgetown. Which isn't well served at all well by public transportation, which meant we spent a lot of time walking from here to there in an all-concrete (which holds the heat) area.

Though on the plus side, if I hadn't been staggering around in the heat in Dupont Circle I'd never have had the opportunity to pet a bear cub.

Last winter was really cold around here. I think we only used our AC two or three times, so it is really hard to predict.

I think you meant summer, sj. But yeah. For the Seattle F2F, the weather was WAY nicer and warmer than it was in New England. I'm just worried that with this crazy winter (supposedly the result of El Nino) that we may get a nasty summer.

On the upside, we seem to be having a nicer, earlier spring than usual (though the weather is supposed to be crappy this weekend).

Yay!

Yeah, Chicago had a crap summer last year too. This winter's been pretty nice though, so hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

Yeah, sorry. I have winter on the brain.

I have sent out three bid requests to hotels in Providence. I have informed those who I sent the requests to that I would update them with an exact date when I had that information. I would be happy to pimp Providence if I receive a response in a timely basis. If not, I'm sorry, I was delayed in my ability to do this by my oral surgery and by my initial request for the RFP being lost to a spam filter. My one problem is that I will definitely not be available the weekend of June 12th. I am hosting a wedding shower on the Sunday and making the favors on that Saturday.

sj, don't fret, we haven't made a decision yet. We know that life happens.

But if we do providence on the 12th, you can probably get some of the craftier buffistas to help with the favors :)

Vortex, I wish I could, but this is a task my mother and I plan on doing at her beach house.
