I did some looking, and it seems there is a bus. But my family wants to pick me up, so that will have to be an adventure for a future trip.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
So, I'm in Chicago, but due to a bunch of random shit and previous plans and being here for such a short time, knew that I wasn't going to be able to hang with the Buffistas this trip. Apparently fate demanded that I be with Brenda, because we ended up at the same restaurant tonight. There I was sitting down with my friend Dan (from another board) and there she was!
Ha, that's awesome.
It totally was. I was all set to come home and squee about Bayless being there and then I was all "Eh, Bayless, whatever. Vortex!"
'ffista kismet!
Ha! Jessica and I once ended up in the same restaurant in Brooklyn when I was in NYC for a wedding, too.
Ha! I've never managed to bump into buffistas like that (well, aside from our tour group at the Evanston f2f running into Sumi on the street), but I once went to eat lunch at a pizza place in Memphis, heard women in another booth talking about NAEYC, and peeked over to discover two former co-workers of mine.
I think Kate and Meara had the same thing happen in Seattle they ran into each other on the sidewalk.
Heh. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to see people, so I thought that I wouldn't even mention that I was going to be there. I only had the one free night, and my friend Dan had snagged it early. I thought about inviting people out for drinks after, but I knew that we weren't even going to eat dinner until 8, so it would be tough.
That's what Vortex gets for cheating on us with other boards. :). And yes, Kate and I ran into each other on the sidewalk in Seattle!
