Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

The status is NOT quo.

Plus, finding affordable housing that is not camping (since I know how many buffistas feel about camping) in the most crowded time of the year in two of the most expensive vacation areas in the country would be difficult. Pity, though. They both rock.

Cereal: hmm...if I were to pimp se ct and plan it from afar, would anyone be interested? Amazing beaches, parks, museums (including Mystic Seaport) and the two biggest casinos in the country would all be within driving distance. I'd have to find us one of the hotels a bit away from the water, but I bet I could swing something. We'd have to have a few cars in most areas if we wantto avoid outpricing ourselves in the nicer areas.

Eh, yeah, but what a beautiful beach location, right? I've never been, but it would seem so.

PixKristin, where, Connecticut? I'm in already, anyway. I love the thought of something that isn't in the middle of a big city. Seriously, if the price is right, it's a great location, and there are beds, showers, and internet, and it's got accessibility, isn't that the bottom line?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

No.

We have a fair number of mobility impaired Buffistas, so anything hiking or similar is out for the main F2F.

SE CT = southeastern Connecticut, yes. I would love to show people around my home stomping grounds, but transportation is always an issue. Getting there wouldn't be too bad with several airports and the awesomely reliable Amtrak and commuter rail, but transportation between a hotel and area attractions would require car rentals since the places that are super walkable would be too expensive in the summer. The easy access is the main reason we tend to end up in cities.

And, as an extended F2F tease, my parents are hosting an informal wedding party for the PixDesigns in CT on Sunday, June 20th...The Buffistas could descend upon my family!

What, you mean it's not all about me? Oh fine.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Maybe Providence as the primary location, with a day trip to Casino-land? The states in question are thumbnail-sized, after all, so a side trip isn't exactly far out of the way.

(I admit, I'm probably a little biased since Providence is one of my favorite places on earth and resort/beach/casino is about a half a day's worth of interest for me...)

(That was an x-post on my part, and crashing the PixDesign's wedding-related partying trumps a whole lot.)

There's a Groton New London Airport. Around there, right? Looks pretty. I see sailboat anchorages, a Lobster Point, ocean, and lots of green. Doesn't get much better than that!
