Pittsburgh is actually a very beautiful city now. It's showing up on all sorts of lists for "best places to live." Or how about Philadelphia. Or Virginia Beach during July! Or Kitty Hawk?
Pittsburgh and Philly are both great. Virginia Beach, or Norfolk would be good. Kitty Hawk is awesome, but a real pain to get to.
See you Northern CA-ers soon, I hope!!
(OMG, I am going to shut my computer down and not open it again for almost 2 weeks!!)
Hope you have a great vacation, Nora!
I hate Norfolk. Richmond is better.

While we may agree on many things, on this we are opposites. Hate Richmond. Love Norfolk. Haven't been to either one in decades. The only thing Richmond has going for it is a most wonderful cemetery. Ancient gravestones overlooking the James River. Used to go there to chill.
Bottom line. Wherever the F2F I am not missing another one. It makes me too sad.

I am Laura.
Isn't it about time for the Boston area?
I'm willing to pimp Providence for next year if anyone is interested.

Well. Yes. This may have biased my view. Also biasing my view is having worked in Norfolk for a while at a sucky job.
(It's a great cemetery, though. We could have the F2F IN the cemetery - it's cheap, but the accommodations are somewhat cramped and musty.)
I've been to that cemetery!
Of course, it also takes me three flights to get to Richmond.
t sigh
Providence! Providence! Providence!
