Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

A TRIBUTE TO RAY BRADBURY. Yes, with Bradbury in attendance. I must must go. I may even take Clovis with me, so I can see if I can get another photo of Mr. Bradbury holding Clovis.

You've had him sign your copies of SOMETHING WICKED... right? If he held Clovis once, he must have.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I just love how blushy "what? What!" girl is all sexual innuendo.

grins

I write the porn and make with the double entendres like it's going out of fashion, and yet I am very easily discombobulated by the flirtation - I'm like a contradiction wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a mystery, decorated with candy sprinkles. Or something.

(Honestly, I feel very hypocritical being so flusterable and crap, given that I made out with, er, EVERYBODY at the first F2F I attended. But that was six years ago, and it's been a largely make-out-free interim, so apparently I'm now much more flaily and self-conscious and lacking in social skills than I used to be. Or something.)

...hilariously, it has just crossed my mind that, technically, I probably COULD go to San Diego for ComicCon. Apart from the whole, you know, then having no money left side of things. And obviously that would be a TOTALLY insane notion. And yet...so tempting. Soooo tempting. Because it seems like it's wall-to-wall awesome people talking about their work, and that would be kinda cool, right? Other than that whole geographical inconvenience thing?

...I can't believe I'm even harbouring this notion for a split second. I live in a dream world. But - it's kind of fun.

Were those the handcuffs??

given that I made out with, er, EVERYBODY at the first F2F I attended
Wait, WHAT?! Damn, and all I got was a nibble of the cuffs from my wrist. Don't get me wrong. It was fab, and I treasure it forever, but a Fay!Snog sounds so much sweeter.

Why isn't anyone paying us to be Buffistas?
That would be the dream job. How do we interview for it? Once word got out, our little virtual island would be overwhelmed.

are there any LAistas that would be interested in a 20% off coupon for: Vivoli Cafe & Trattoria
1520 N Hayworth Ave Suite 11
Los Angeles, CA 90046

They sent me an e-mail coupon. Alas, I no longer live in LA. But happy to share.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Speaking of people who live in LA, would anyone happen to be free in Pasadena on Monday, July 27 to have lunch and take me and a friend to the Burbank airport? We will be recovering from Comic-Con, and the friend we're staying with has to work.

The status is NOT quo.

Libkitty, we will be in Juneau tomorrow. I don't know if ND will be free, but I would love to meet you for lunch or brunch. What's your schedule like?

PC, we're gone most of this summer so can't help with airport transport. Sorry. I think ND is in Mexico and I will be going into work on the 27th.

Ah, that's too bad, Kristin! I wasn't sure whether you guys would be in town or not.

Our wings are not tired

Yeah. I don't get back from cruise work until August 16th.

Not javachik

Ooo, I would go to a F2F in Thailand in a second. That would be great.

Rhode Island would be lovely, so would Maine (I assume this is the original Portland, yes?)

I totted up my miles driven on my camping/visiting/traveling to F2F vacation. It came to an even 1,350. And it was a wonderful trip, woo hoo!

Jilli:

Friday July 24 6:00 – 7:00 Umbrella Academy : Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba

They'll be signing at the Dark Horse booth, #2615. It's adjacent to the Dollhouse / Whedon panel, so I hope I can still make it. I think that's right after your signing, isn't it?
