Aww, I missed meara and -t and beth and javachick. Spectacularly bad timing on my part.

But also spectacularly good timing because I just got to have coffee with Java cat and Connie, both of whom are crazy cool women and lovely to hang out with on a brisk July day. Connie and I got to see Java cat's postcards from the F2F with my favorite being the cowboy hot tub, though they were all pretty fab. And just in general a good time was had by . . . well, me at least. Thanks for hanging out. And tonight I will see megan and PC which rocks.

I had a great lunch with libkitty today and she showed me where she works. I'm pretty sure she wins the prize for workplace with the best view.

It was wonderful to meet Kat in person! and see consuela again. Good stories, good catching up, some mild F2F gossip, good times.

I'm so jealous of you ND! I keep threatening to go visit libkitty and not doing it... one of these days I will and oh boy do I want to see that area. And libkitty, too, of course, with whom I always have a most excellent time.

Speedy ND! Well, slow me for posting. Work. Meetings. Sigh.

Seeing Buffistas is always wonderful, but it was extra fun to see ND here, in my hometown.

I think we probably made a pretty funny looking pair. We've been having a heat wave, at least for Juneau, but I don't really have all that many work-appropriate, hot-weather clothes, so there I was in ratty capris, a light top and sandals, while ND was wearing a jacket!

I had a great time. ND looked just like his pictures, only better. And he was even more fun and interesting than I had expected. He treated me for lunch, and we even had a little time for me to show him around, which I always love.

And now I have seen megan and PC, too! Just as delightful as I remembered. And both so pretty. Buffistas are pretty, pretty people. And they fed me yummy vietnamese/french cuisine. Good times.

Hey Kat...I forgot you MOVED to LA. Why the heck haven't we gotten together? Let's do so!

I know. We haven't gotten together because as I was 'splaining to megan and PC, I have been a horribly antisocial hermit. But I have pledged to do better in the back half of '09, so we should definitely make a plan. I would love to see and be seen.

So are there plans for a DC-ista F2F in the coming weeks?

Barb and Stephanie are/will be in town. There was talk earlier, but I don't know if anything was actually planned.

There was a tentative plan for the morning/early afternoon of the 14th, I think. For a sprog-type get-together. Nothing beyond date was planned though. I'm going to be at the Marriott Wardman by that point, so I know we'll be close to the zoo? Yes?

Anyhoo, I'm knee-deep in packing, since we go tomorrow. I'll put cell number up in profile and of course, I'll have email and internet, so we can keep planning and I'll keep peeking in. I desperately want to see some Buffistas!
