And wicked baseball depriving me of Zmayhem time. I knew there was a good reason why I dislike that game. Well, except for the Angels rally monkey. I do enjoy that monkey.
Well, I don't think there's a game on Wednesday...
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

ARGH. I'm free Tues. & Wed. days, but not at night. Would love to meet you, though!!
I have met kat and you all should try harder!
I can meet up in SF or Oakland (if it's BARTable).
Kat and I admired ancient bling this one time!
I am free tomorrow night but not Wednesday.
I have met both megan and PC and both are very sparkly and foamy as Buffistae are wont to be. I suppose I should note here that I'm getting into Oakland tomorrow at 10:00ish and I have a meeting at noon and a meeting at 3:30 which should only last about half an hour and then I have to go to my company's Oakland office to do actual work until about 5:30-6:00ish after which time I will be free to do what I want. And then on Wednesday, I have meetings all morning until about noon after which I may have another meeting from noon to one or maybe not depending on the schedule of the person I'm trying to meet with and then I fly back to LA Wednesday at quarter to 5:00, so very quick trip with too many meetings with people who are not Buffistas.
I've met Kat! (in LA)
Which is good, because I can't make it tomorrow.
a Rotary Exchange year on SaltSpring Island, BC,
So Fay you have been traveling around for and with school for a long time. That's really cool.
Kat, I work about 2 blocks away from the Oakland Convention Center, near the Lake Merritt BART station. I've got a group dinner organized tomorrow night for Rockridge, alas, but I'm free to tour guide drive you around Oakland/Berkeley at lunch on Tuesday.
On Wed., find/make time to go over to the Oakland Museum to walk around the grounds inside the complex. It's beautiful, an architectural treasure of the Bay Area. When you find the koi pond, go left between the pond and the building until you see the passageway to the gardens, then stroll around, or just lie on the stone walls and stretch and bask. There's lovely art scattered around on all levels of the gardens, and an historical exhibit of the Gold Rush in the far right-hand corner (if you enter from the koi pond) complete with a sometimes rushing stream. eta: or call me and I'll walk over and show you around over there! either way, it's free. Only the inside exhibits have a fee.
Hi, Perkins! I have been a shamefully antisocial Buffista since moving back to LA and haven't seen anyone, but I am attempting to do better in the back half of 09. I wish I could've let people know I'd be around sooner but all the plans only just came together this morning. But I will probably be working more closely with people in our Oakland office over the next couple of months, so I'm likely to be up that way again soon.
Oh, also thank you for the suggested activities, Java Cat, and for the kind offer to be my Oakland tour guide. If I have time, I will definitely do some perusing of the surroundings. The koi pond sounds like a winner.
oops, I think I read that wrong.
I hope I get to see you on one of your trips!
can't do it this Tuesday, but if you are going to be up more often there is another chance
