Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

'Potential'

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

I will stick around this time. :)

And I never, ever turn down a chance to dance with Jilli.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Nor should you.

You two are gorgeous together on the dancefloor. And snarky fun together off.

I'm still REALLY upset that you were gone by the time 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' FINALLY played. Might be my mind playing tricks, but I swear it was mere minutes after you'd left.

In any case, still VERY nice to see your fonts here.

(eyes come to sharp points)

My StuntWife didn't mention Bela. I freely admit she was, in the days after the F2F, busy with Other (bookbookbook) Things - but STILL.

I would have swooped mightily to Bela. It's the Anthem, after all. (Well, so is "This Corrosion" - but that's better music. Bela is just mockery from Bauhaus that we out-mocked by embracing it. Silly Bauhaus.)

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Wait, Portland this weekend? I have both Saturday AND Sunday off! It is a major event, and once that will not be duplicated again (having July 4 as a not-work-day) for many many years. I am in NE but can easily get anywhere (except Gresham, which i refuse to visit on principle.)

Do not blame Jllli. I had gotten over the expectation of ever hearing it, due to the ND's democratic-via-i-Pod song process (no onus on him, though - any other policy under the circumstances would have been maddening for him). Much the same way that I thought I wouldn't hear the Buffy theme all night (but basically missed it due to the volume at the time).

"This Corrosion"

DAMMIT! I didn't even think of that and I adore that song.

"This Corrosion" is the "ring a bell, watch the goths dance" Pavlov song. When it plays at the Club on Saturdays, we have to look at each other and judge our willingness to brave the Drunken Crush. (Oh, and whether or not the PetDJ is playing the reasonable 6-ish-minute long version, or the "Oh god, my feet!" 13-minute version.)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

In one of the other threads someone - ita, I think - was inquiring about the use of "polar bear" and it occurred to me - is Matilda the youngest Buffista sprog to be commed? or does another have that, um, honor?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I have to say, I thought that the whole whacky iPhone method of making a playlist worked unexpectedly well. There were lots of songs that I liked lots.

Hee. The political behind-the-scenes shenanigans were HYSTERICAL. "Okay okay! I voted for your song! Dangit!"

:)

Then the howls of "Who proposed THIS? Who VOTED for this?"

:)

I got to dance twice, and watch interesting folk dance a lot - in that way, it was *exactly* like most of my Saturday nights.
