Wait, Portland this weekend? I have both Saturday AND Sunday off! It is a major event, and once that will not be duplicated again (having July 4 as a not-work-day) for many many years. I am in NE but can easily get anywhere (except Gresham, which i refuse to visit on principle.)

Do not blame Jllli. I had gotten over the expectation of ever hearing it, due to the ND's democratic-via-i-Pod song process (no onus on him, though - any other policy under the circumstances would have been maddening for him). Much the same way that I thought I wouldn't hear the Buffy theme all night (but basically missed it due to the volume at the time).

For those visiting DC for any length of time - the Washington Post has a list of events (some free, some not) for the coming week every Thursday in the District section. There are also free papers - the "Current" ones (i.e., Northwest Current, Dupont Current) - come out weekly and will have a list of events as well.

Gothnip indeed. Heck, any Sisters song brings on the effect, and it is super amusing to watch the young goths try to stay with the beat on "Temple of Love." They hear the drum machine and know "it is SoM, must dance!" but do not know what they are getting themselves into.
