It seemed like the randomization was "whatever person is next in line when we finish with the last person we searched."
That's random enough, I guess. The security gate had just opened when I went through, so I was probably picked because "We're ready now! Who's next in line?"
Fortunately, that wasn't the only groping I got all weekend.
Me, I usually don't unpack for days and days. This time I unpacked by dumping my bag into the washer and digging out the shoes.
The next installment of my Seattle post is up, now with 300% more F2F action!
And, in re the hugging - I'm usually skittish about being touched, but with the Buffistas? I'm not. Says something about the group, or at least my reaction to you.
We are special.
Had a lovely dinner last night with amonster, Hil, Sparky, her DH and KALLIOPE!!! Who was a bundle of baby joy. Went to a really good pizza place in Takoma Park. They were new, so getting their restaurant legs, but our server was very earnest. Had good food, then back to Sparky's for chat and Kalliope needed a little special mommy love. As they like to say "she's a good little eater!" As always, a wonderful time had by all!
BTW, Vortex, you should have insent from me.
I had a Pete and Jilli this weekend. Now I do not. I am sadder than I was yesterday.

That works nicely with your tagline, David.
I am sadder than I was yesterday.
That reminds me of Tom Scola's call yesterday -- after Hec had extracted from him all possible Prom gossip and passed the phone on to me, his first words were a wrenching cri de coeur, "JZ! How are you? I JUST MISS EVERYONE SO MUCH."
I do too. In fact, having missed the last several F2Fs and finally made it to this one, I have to say that the post-F2F sorrow may actually be slightly
more
heart-twisting than the I-can't-believe-I-missed-it bitterness.

yes, but it is tempered by the lovely memories.
