Mal: So we run. Nandi: I understand, Captain Reynolds. You have your people to think of, same as me. And this ain't your fight. Mal: Don't believe you do understand, Nandi. I said 'we run'. We.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

I don't wanna get up and pack. Frank's post about the weather isn't changing that.

Sorry 'bout that. I wish you travel-ma. May the good faerie who pulled off our impromptu, mega-gianormous Buffista dinner last night will bless us all as we make our way homeward.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Had breakfast at "Bernard's on Seneca" around the corner, with -t and her DH. The company was good, the food...meh.

Packed and checked out now, hanging out in the lobby going through pictures to kill an hour until I catch the airport bus.

It's been a great trip. It was wonderful to see everyone F2F, and I managed a better balance between social time and solitude. I hope I can join in again next year.

Many thanks to juliana, Pete, Plei, and all the rest who did all the work to make everything go so well.

Our wings are not tired

I appear to have caught an F2F cold. Hopefully it won't afflict anyone else.

Well, it's not like you would have kissed anyone, right?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

My voice is mostly gone, but that seems mostly due to lack of sleep. The kitties were not entirely helpful last night with that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The kitties were not entirely helpful last night with that.

Did they make you recite things in latin during your sleep? Because that's a strain on the vocal cords.

“Not dead yet!”

I find Russian much harder on the vocal cords, Hec.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I am trying really hard not to get sick. It could work. It totally, totally could.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Mostly just shouting at them for being asshats. I just found out from the cat-sitters that the piddler greeted them at the door each and every time they showed up with hissing and hiding, and refused to even be civil (as per my instructions to the kitties before leaving). Now he's licking my toes. The boy has issues.
