I can't remember if I'm supposed to post or email this, but here's my arrival info:
Arrival (SEA): June 19, 12:10 PM PDT (afternoon)
Departure is 11:30 Sunday night, or some such nonsense.
I'm starting to get excited!

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Weeeee! Tomorrow I fly to America! Weeeeee!
(The flight will take around twenty hours, so I'm going to be Zombonia, Queen of the Zombie People when I arrive, most likely.)
I have no plans, and am assuming things will all sort themselves out once I'm there.
I am sort of flailing at my general lack of plans. I'm afraid of being left behind or left out of things.
Shir, I'll have my work laptop with Skype on it. It's just a matter of Internet connection.
Fay the Zombie! Sounds like a new movie.
I think there are several of us doing red eyes on Sunday night, smonster
Omnis, there's probably wireless all through the hotel.
There is free wireless all through the hotel - that's one of the reasons we picked it.

To all those flailing, I say Let It Be. People meet up in the HS or the lobby or wherever, decide to do something, and go. There will be a big thingy for writing things down on in the HS. But, if you flail too much about Plans, you'll stress yourself out unduly.
Yes, there is supposed to be free internet throughout. They also have a wide pipe due to a lot of Microsoft events held there.
On another note, since I may not be seeing any of the localistas until later in the day on Friday, I just want to ask if there are any parts near downtown that should be avoided.
Don't go up to the Castle Pioneer Square after dark. Actually it has a pretty good nightlife but it also has its share of drunken hobos and other unpleasantries, but there are good parts and bad parts and I couldn't precisely tell you which is which because I've avoided it for years.
And, yes, the Underworld tour is very close to Pioneer Square so my simple advice is stick together and you'll be fine.
The area immediately around Pike Place Market can be a little so so at night too, but I think that's been improving.
Ultimately, while Seattle has its trouble-spots it's a relatively low-crime city.
Toast:
