Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am! You had some email at the vortex account about that.

I get there Wednesday 10/29, leaving Tuesday 11/4, with a side trip to Baltimore on Saturday.

We were thinking Bistrot du Coin on Sunday for a group dinner, I think.

I also pinged MFNLaw, and she wasn't sure about making it on Sunday but thought maybe Monday would work for her for an additional dinner.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Cool! I know I'm usually planner girl, but I was late to the party, and you guys seemed to have it in hand. I was afraid I'd be out of town, but I'll be around for either or both.

Cool! I vote both!

I'll call Bistrot du Coin for a reservation in a week or two I guess.

46 voters have answered this question.

Which F2F location would you be LEAST likely to attend?

18% (6) Portland
3% (1) Seattle
78% (26) Other (please explain in comments)

Others: 1 anti-anywhere hot
4 anti-Arizona
1 anti-Alaska
The Hellmouth and Back Of Beyond were also brought up. The rest of the responses were either pro-anywhere or pro-PNW.

Okay - Seattle seems to have won the informal poll by an overwhelming margin. Should I put it up to an official vote, or are people okay with that?

If we do not put it to an official vote, I'll go ahead with the polling with the July dates added in, narrow it down to 2 or 3 weekends, and vote from there. How does that sound?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I would still do an official poll for Seattle v. other options, but maybe in conjunction with a revised date poll that skews later in the year.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think that you want to decide on location first, and then poll dates. It seems to work out better that way. That said, I'd be happy with declaring Seattle the winner already and moving on to dates.

Btw, Jon, did you know that preferential voting is in full effect for SF's next election?
