We'll be getting in on Thursday and will be up for doing something on Friday.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Can anyone recommend a good place to go for oysters? Are they good in Seattle? I'm assuming they would be, but I have run across weirder things in my life. I think Friday would be a good day to sit outside with a cool beer and oysters.
Also, I've got the official "SNOG" shirt in my possession and since I'm not coming in until Friday noon, I figure it would be good to pass it on to someone who will be around on Thursday to start greeting people with it. Any takers?
If anyone is a big fan of fresh salmon and can afford it, head over to Pike Place Market before you leave and get a fish with travel packing to take home. My sister and I did this several years ago when we were coming home and brought back two fish (one for each parent)--it cost around $50 for the cooler and dry ice, but we were able to check it on the plane.
A quick car-rental question; which companies do you like, which should I avoid? I'll be getting a car from Burbank airport in LA.
Hi! I know one or two of you remember me... I'm thinking of attending this shindig, being as I had so much fun with y'all in Atlanta! It'll depend largely on $$ (I just bought a house). Is it too late to get the group rate on a room?
Oh, and Frank... you *are* bringing THE HAT, aren't you?
Oh, Zenkitty, yay! It shouldn't be too late to get the group rate on a room.
Yay! I think there may be a couple of people still looking for roomies too, if that's of interest to you.
You should still be fine for the group rate, it's just the allocation within a certain group of rooms that has expired.
That sounded cluttered. Um. Your room may not be on the same floor as other Buffistas but it should still be the same rate.
...
Though, I think the special rate must end soon. Juliana probably knows.
Pete, for my trip to Toronto, I used CarRentals.com and they came back with much cheaper rates than Orbitz.
ETA: I usually like Hertz because I'm Gold whatever with them and I like just walking to the car and ignoring the counter. But Hertz was going to be about $300 for the week; Alamo booked through CarRentals.com was half that.
I've used them as well, with the same result. Much cheaper if you're picking up/dropping off at an airport anyway.
