Just as a warning for those hanging out in SF on Sunday: it's Bay to Breakers, which is a wild 12K race that essentially cuts the city in half. Here's the route David's old neighborhood gets hit particularly hard.
Let me post that in Announcements because it will affect everybody's getaway plans to the airport on Sunday.
Oh, Sunday? I read that as Saturday and panicked. Oh well, got me to expand my hotel reservation to include Friday so I'll be around after work tomorrow.
for those of you who want to follow at home
Thank you for that. It doesn't reduce my envy, but I enjoy the sense of connection it gives me.
I'll mention again, in case anyone else wants to explore them, the tools I like for flight details and flight following are www.flightaware.com and www.flightradar24.com
Fuck me. In between wrangling getting the flight rebooked (which I did do), I've been throwing up, like 4 times. (I had some other gastrointestinal ick start yesterday, but I assumed it was IBS.) I also have a fever. God damn it. It feels like it would be really irresponsible to get on a plane. I can't stop crying. (Or barfing.)
Oh no, Tep! I'm so sorry.
Steph, I am so sorry. Such a terrible timing.
Thank you for the traffic update Juliana! Very good to know in advance. I’m checked in for arrival early afternoon tomorrow, staying at Adagio. Friday will probably be special birthday dinner with the guy (his birthday is Saturday so not birthday pals with Vortex but close.). Someone in my office is coughing right now and it’s freaking me out.
Tep, so sorry you aren’t feeling well…fingers crossed it’s something you ate quickly working its way out of your system….
