You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I want to try and join people on Sunday for brunch --

not sure if I'll be barting ( which I will if just me ) or driving if DH comes along.

Or if suddenly I realize I have other things I must do Sunday

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Should we try to make reservations?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Last I saw, Frankenbuddha, omnis_audis, and Laga are all planning to arrive Thursday.

My Thursday arrival is somewhat mitigated by almost being a seriously late PM arrival (11:30-ish). It's possibly mitigated the other way because I have a car rental, but if my flight's late, I'm not entirely sure of the ramifications to the car rental.

If all things are perfect, I have no problems with hanging out a bit and giving a few folks a lift to the hotel, but I'm going to be pretty knackered at that point even if everything goes on schedule.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I have requested time off from work, and fingers crossed that it actually gets approved. There are many factors here, including the fact that i will almost certainly have a shift change before the end of the next month but know not what my new days off will be!!!! I wait with baited breath to see what happens and if it gets approved or not. But if i were to still be on the same schedule, and have the days off approved, i would be able to drive up on Friday and return on Monday. Here's hoping!!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Ooo! e_o! I hope ya make it! It'd be great to see ya again!

Ayup, I'll be arriving at the airport at 4:20. I think Laga said her flight arrives 4:05. Both on Thursday. I'm guessing we'll make it to the hotel starved for dinner.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

But socks and/or tights, yeah, if I'm wearing skirts? Bare legs will be too cold?

Fay, by "tights," do you mean a thicker-knit, like cotton or wool tights (we would wear them in really cool weather), or do you mean pantyhose, like nylon stockings all connected?

I just ask because watching "Coupling" confused the shit out of me when they talked about "tights" and I realized it probably meant pantyhose.

People might be saying no to tights because they might be reading it as the thicker cotton or wool ones.

Well, hell Jon. I'd have loved to see you in Seattle, but I totally get why you won't be there (see Press).

Fay, when it comes to Seattle weather, we will keep you abreast (ooh-er) of the forecast as we get close to the event.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm guessing we'll make it to the hotel starved for dinner.

If my usual pattern holds I will have had quite a few bloody marys.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Er...hard to say, Fay. Likely it'll be...around 22-25C daytime, a little cooler at night? But it could be warmer. A similar weekend, last summer (Pride weekend) it was about 35C in the daytime, which was crazy. BUT, it's not humid, which makes it way nicer in the shade and if there's a breeze. So totally unlike Thailand. :)

I love the fact that you translated this.
