If I had known what weekend graduation was we could have done the flying pig!! I doubt commencement is early morning. ETA: apparently commencement is at 9 AM! No Flying Pig for us.
The 5K and 10K are on Saturday the 5th, and registration is still open. IJS.
Yes, the 5th is when commencement is in the morning. Otherwise I would be at least cheering you on if not doing it myself. But I will be cheering for Max at that time.
Ah, got it. You can cheer me on virtually.
I am beyond miserable! I never checked my calendar before I started searching for flights and hotels and so forth. Making all the arrangements was more difficult than usual and it took me a bunch of tries and cancellations. Now I realize it was the universe telling me I was double booked. I have tickets to go see Skynryd in West Palm on Friday night the 4th. I just want to weep.
So I can sell the tickets I have for the concert that I was going to with DH and 4 other people, or I can still go and find another date and send DH to the graduation. No way DH is not going to the graduation. Can't believe I didn't look at the calendar sooner. Woe is me.
Looking into selling my concert tickets. (insert weeping gif)
All reservations are finalized. We arrive in Cincinnati noonish on Thursday and leave before dawn Sunday. Much of Saturday will be spent at Wilberforce. I have to work daytime Thursday and Friday so will be hanging close to my computer.
Is there carb loading on the agenda Friday night perhaps, Teppy?
We are looking forward to any Buffista time we can manage in the too short visit.
I feel like walking a 5K doesn't justify carb *loading,* per se, but definitely carb eating. This is exciting!
t edit
Seeing YOU is exciting; the carb eating, NSM. Because I can do that any time.
Indeed! We have never been to Cincinnati so we are up for whatever.
I am here! Regular work hours weekdays, not working that weekend. Could do dinner or lunch Thursday or Friday.
So excited! We are really looking forward to visiting with you.
I'm not sure what Max's schedule will be so he may join us too. He's a sweetheart, taller than Brendon and half his weight. One of my favorite kids. He has worked so hard. It isn't easy to keep up with basketball and take a challenging degree program.
