Tom, how long will you be here? 1 day? Are you flying? Because I can get you from the airport. And take you back.
I'm the next neighborhood over from Casa del flea, and Wednesdays are super light work days for me (even if they weren't, I'd empty my schedule for you, because duh).
Going downtown to Carew Tower is always cool (though maybe not a huge thrill for people who live in the NYC area). And Smale Park downtown. And the carousel! Which I haven't done yet but totally want to do. Maybe Findlay Market? And...I am a cave troll who doesn't know what's going on in the city. But I can figure it out.
Also, Cincinnati is undergoing a brewery-splosion, so there is much good beer to be had.
How do you feel about the Lego Millennium Falcon and Arduino?
I'm not going to tell Tim about the Arduino, because he'll show up to tinker, and between him and Dillo, wacky shenanigans will ensue.
I seriously just put "Scolapalooza" on my calendar. SO EXCITE!!!!
The Arduino is currently busy serving as part of a science fair project on citrus fruit batteries, but we should schedule some tinker time. Does Tim own any Kevlar? Peter wants some.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's some in the attic. And he would actually love to tinker. It's his raison d'etre.
I'm still thinking about Scola's visit, and I haven't been to the Zoo in a long time. Also -- by the end of March maybe we can see Fiona the baby hippo!
Awesome! I just booked flight RDU → CVG for Tuesday, March 28, arriving at 7:20pm.
Flea, thank you! I would be very honored to stay with your family.
I haven't finalized exactly when I'm leaving yet, but from what I can see, it is hella expensive to fly out of CVG on a weekend, so it looks like I'll be leaving some time on Thursday, 3/30.
NCistas: I just sent an email about the NC portion of Scolapalooza. YAY!!!

I can totally get you from the airport. Have you been here before? I ask because there really is a fantastic view of the city as you come down I-75 from the airport. It's a dramatic reveal as you come around a curve in the highway, too. I feel like it's the city's way of making up for the fact that you actually fly into an airport that's way the hell down in Kentucky. (For all values of "way the hell down" that equal "actually just 20 minutes by car, but still").

You could drop "on a weekend" off that sentence and still be correct. Grumble.

I can also take you to the airport. The view is, however, less exciting going *to* the airport.
The last two times we've flown anywhere, we've driven to Indianapolis and Columbus, respectively, because it's worth it.
Dayton can be a good choice, too. Plus -- though this may have changed since the last time I flew out of Dayton -- long-term parking was the lot right next to the terminal. I parked my car and walked to the terminal in under 5 minutes.
