YAS! Scolapalooza.
But oh dang! I am at a conference in Myrtle Beach from the afternoon of 3/26 - 3/30. NOOOOO.
I mean, you can stay at my place anytime. I'll make sure you have a key. But I want to be around when you are there! And there's no way I can get out of this conference. Dammit!
(You could even have the use of my car, because I'm not taking it to the conference, but this bites!)
Scolapalooza is the best palooza!
OH! speaking of F2Fery, I (with spouse) will be in NYC in a week, Thursday - Sunday, and would love to meet up with Buffista-style humans! Evenings are pretty booked, but we're otherwise free.
I know you stayed with Vortex a good while ago; did she happen to take you to Teaism, our local tea version of Starbucks?
I did not. I confess that somehow I didn't know that Scola drank tea and had none in the house. I felt terrible. So, now I have some. Which I throw most of away every six months because I don't like tea. But, I have it for guests now.
Aw, I always find it so charming when people keep stuff in stock just for guests.
This made me realize I've had a half bottle of Old Overholt whiskey for guests' benefit that hasn't been touched in the better part of a decade. Maybe I need to look up some recipes that involve whiskey in the cooking?
Whiskey party at Matt's! It gets better with age, right? (not a whiskey fan)
Scola!
Should you want to stop in DC, you are welcome to stay with us, as long as 7-year olds, dogs and early risers aren't an issue for you. (our life is, understandably, not for everyone) You can walk to the Red Line from our house.
I also have a big thing at work on the 24th, so can't take that day off, and we have a bar mitzvah to go to at 10 a.m. on the 25th, so I would have to shirk a lot of hostessing duties.
