This is my sneaky way of announcing it. I'll write up something for the end of the year before we close that thread, because, y'all it has been a motherfucking year. But for now, all y'all southerners need to know I'm on my way. And nope, Kate, definitely still in the market if you hear of a rental at the low end of things, like, super low end.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Also not to steal the hippocampus thunder, because yay, scola!
I like that Liese is practicing getting her y'all on.
I have been y'allin since college in eastern Tennessee. It just isn't restrained anymore. I also say howdy, mostly to fuck with people and to let them know I speak not just English, but colloquial English, but I may need to rein that in so people don't think I'm mocking.
So, exactly when in March? Hmmm...
It's looking like the 16th-23rd, somewhere around there.
If I ever move out of NC, I'm keeping "I reckon" and "bless your heart". So useful!
Welcome to the south, Liese!
I had to re-learn the southern I worked so hard to shed for drama school, but although I still eschew CEE-ment and IN-shurnce, I've reclaimed y'all, sugar, and bless your heart. Sugar's a good check-rein on somebody about to escalate a situation, if you use it in the right tone of voice.
I picked up howdy living in Tennessee and Arizona; I don't think I lost until I'd been back in the midwest for a number of years. It still pops out occasionally. The y'all converted back to you guys nearly instantaneously, though.
The three things I picked up living in Georgia: Budweiser, sweet tea and y'all.
Y'all I use naturally and unironically (mostly) but it comes and goes a bit depending on who and what is under discussion.
Sometimes I'll throw in an UMbrella or similar for humourous emphasis. (What was that furniture company that used to run all the ads in Georgia for living room SOOTs, that always cracked me up.)
Howdy is only when my sister and I are quoting the shark from Toy Story. ("Hi, I'm Woody! HOWDY HOWDY HOWDY.)
