Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

'Safe'

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

This is my sneaky way of announcing it. I'll write up something for the end of the year before we close that thread, because, y'all it has been a motherfucking year. But for now, all y'all southerners need to know I'm on my way. And nope, Kate, definitely still in the market if you hear of a rental at the low end of things, like, super low end.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Also not to steal the hippocampus thunder, because yay, scola!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I like that Liese is practicing getting her y'all on.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have been y'allin since college in eastern Tennessee. It just isn't restrained anymore. I also say howdy, mostly to fuck with people and to let them know I speak not just English, but colloquial English, but I may need to rein that in so people don't think I'm mocking.

So, exactly when in March? Hmmm...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It's looking like the 16th-23rd, somewhere around there.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

If I ever move out of NC, I'm keeping "I reckon" and "bless your heart". So useful!

Welcome to the south, Liese!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I had to re-learn the southern I worked so hard to shed for drama school, but although I still eschew CEE-ment and IN-shurnce, I've reclaimed y'all, sugar, and bless your heart. Sugar's a good check-rein on somebody about to escalate a situation, if you use it in the right tone of voice.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I picked up howdy living in Tennessee and Arizona; I don't think I lost until I'd been back in the midwest for a number of years. It still pops out occasionally. The y'all converted back to you guys nearly instantaneously, though.
