European Buffistas, ahoy! I plan to go to a 4-5 days vacation in The Netherlands (mostly The Hauge), with possibly a day in London before and a day in Belgium in between. The vacation will take place between February 10th and the 16/17th, 2016.
As always, I'd be more than happy to meet you in person. Let me know if you'd like to meet me too. Profile addy is good.
(Food recommendations for all of the places listed above are very welcomed).
Okay, fine, Needy-Shmeedy - one last shout out!
Seattle-istas! I'm coming at ya!
My niece has said I'm welcome to bring guest(s) to her party (and/or pub crawl after - bonus, reception/party/thingy is loosely Firefly themed! I'm so proud!) So I'm mostly available for all of my stay - Thursday (late) dinner thru Monday (early) dinner. (Though there's talk of brunch on Sunday, it's not firmed yet).
I'm okay with planning on the fly, but I'd like to have some general ideas of when/if people might like to make some plans.
I'm staying at a motel called The Grove West Seattle, and will have a rental car.
So, anybody going to be in town and available for meals/hanging out/what have you? (Profile addy is good, and I'll confirm my cell# is in there too).
Oh, sorry Epic--I've been so out of it! I was going to be at a dance thing all weekend, but decided I'm sick and not up for all that. (Just a cold, and I think/hope it's on the downside now but still). I've got plans with a friend on Saturday--is your niece's thing Friday, or Saturday?
Quite probably! Saturday is booked, rest is free.
My niece's shindig is Saturday.
Argh, I'm booked all weekend! Dammit, dammit, dammit.
Argh, I'm booked all weekend! Dammit, dammit, dammit.
Oh, phooey!
(If that "weekend" leaves any unclaimed time Thursday or Monday, I'd totally get up early or stay up late to try to squeeze in a Jilli-visit, BTW, IJS).
meara, what's the swing dancing like around there? Especially something more low-key, maybe Friday or Sunday (or I guess I could manage Thursday if there's a good venue that night)? I'm not going to bring a ton of wardrobe choices or dancing shoes, but if there's something a little casual (within time constraints), I might enjoy a little dancing in a new city. (And if you're not feeling well enough, I'd rather do a low-energy hang to visit with people, obv.)
Check the Century Ballroom website? There may be other swing dancing but that's the one I know of...not sure when they do east coast swing/Lindy as opposed to west coast (which is Tuesdays)
And: maybe brunch on Sunday?
