If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Anybody want to do the Hamilton ticket lottery with me? They're still doing that, right?

DH did that for our anniversary, but we didn't get in :(

I did it when I was in NY, didn't win ;(. But, bumped into one of my friends from DC who had moved to Ny when we were in line, so that was a plus!

And I'm up for brunch in NYC either weekend.

Yay! If I had to pick a preference, I'd say I prefer the 11th, but if the 18th works better for anyone, that's fine with me. I'm happy to come to Brooklyn, but would need suggestions from the locals.

It's my friend A's birthday on the 10th, so I may be a wee bit hungover on the 11th. OTOH, if I can crash in New Haven, I can shave 45 minutes off of the travel time to NYC.

I'm obsessed with Streets BK on Broadway in Brooklyn. They have these amazing chicharrones that are little nuggets of porky amazingness. But, I bow to the wisdom of the locals.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Attention Seattle-istas!

I'm firming up plans for traveling to your fair city the 1st weekend of November. I'm looking at flying in (probably early evening) on Thursday the 5th, and heading out (probably afternoon) of Monday the 9th.

Please tell me some of you will be there!

It turns out my niece is getting married earlier in the week, and Saturday the 7th is just reception/party/pub crawl (after-party-ish). So I'm booked Saturday afternoon/evening, but other than that I'm pretty open and would LOVELOVELOVE to see some/all of you!

I'm also taking recommendations for tourist-y stuff to do and see (seriously, Space Needle may literally be the only attraction I've heard of).

I was thinking of asking to couch surf, but since I'm now looking at 4 nights, plus am allergic to most of y'all's furry friends, I'm looking at hotels. The party is at the Dakota Place Park Building. Any recommendations for neighborhoods I should be looking at? All my niece told me was "Downtown". Are any of these other names I'm seeing on hotels listings useful to me (Bellevue, Tukwila, near SeaTac, etc.)?

Thanks for any advice and/or wisdom you can offer. I've never been to Seattle before so I'm really trying to cram as much "vacation" into my long weekend as I can!
