Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Okay, so: dinner on the 27th, Kate, Liese, amyth, and me. Late lunch on the 28th, me, Kate, Liese, amyth, and Matt. Dinner on the 28th, whoever's still in town and up for gathering. Am I right? Is anyone coming that I left out?

Is there a good Ethiopian restaurant in Nashville? I haven't had Ethiopian food in ages.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Gris and tiggy live in Nashville too -- I'll see if either of them can make any of the gatherings.

edit: And there are a couple of good Ethiopian places, which I'd be happy to do.

I'll probably be gone by dinnertime on the 28th. Could you come up any earlier in the afternoon? I'd love to see you, Matt.

I can probably make it into Nashville by 3 or so, but knowing how my Saturday mornings tend to go I couldn't guarantee anything earlier. Don't delay lunch for me, that's awfully late to eat.

Update: dinner on the 27th, Kate, Liese, amyth, and me. Dinner on the 28th, me, Kate, amyth, and Matt. At some point I'm going to the Parthenon, anyone else want to go? (For those who don't know it, Nashville has an exact replica of the Parthenon in Centennial Park, and it now has a huge statue of Athena that I haven't seen since there was scaffolding around it.)

Kate will check on Ethiopian food, for meeee. Anyone doesn't like Ethiopian?

Gris, tiggy, any other Nashville-adjacent peeps, let us know if you can come!

Looking at the map, it seems my college town has changed a bit since I lived there. I'll have to drive by and see if the old strip club is still there.

Rotier's, Elliston Place and the Exit/In are still there. That's about it around VU. They tore down the Hurry Back a few years ago. I wasn't exactly nostalgic for my late night trips to the Hurry Back to get beer and papers to bribe a photographer to print the pictures we needed for the paper. There may have been other late-night minimarts in your era.

Wonder if the Kinko's is still there. I worked there for two years. My first experience with being treated badly for being female in the workplace!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I really want to go but I'm unsure I can handle all that driving without taking two days off work.

Our wings are not tired.

I feel the same as tommyrot except it is a 12 hour drive for me. But I still had to check and see how long a drive it was... because it would be grand.
