If I’m in town, I’d be up for dinner regardless. I won’t know until next week for sure, though.
Okay, let me know.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Shir, while in Chicago, they have this new, um, attraction(??), I forget what building it is in, but, like 100 stories up, they built this plexi-glass tilt out thing, so you are leaning out over the side of the building at a 30º angle. They say it's an AMAZING view. Perfectly safe. Nobody has fallen yet. But, it's only been open a few weeks.
Maria, I have a swim thing that day in Culver City, but I certainly wish I could see you!

Hancock.
Shir, I'm available evenings of the dates you've listed. We should try to coordinate dinner. Perhaps at Chicago Diner? During the day, the best I could do would be to give you a tour of the theatre if you're interested.
Shir, thanks!!
dcp, that would be great! I'd really appreciate it!
What would you like to do, and what do you already have covered?
You assume I know things about Chicago. Never been there.
Well, here's what I know about it:
It's a city
It's in Illinois
It has Buffistas in it
The Afghan Whigs and the Twilight Singers played great shows there (I heard the bootlegs)
And... it's cold during the winter, right?
There. This is what I know about Chicago. I mean it when I say your country is very exotic to me.
(Sorry for the double post)

Aurelia, both suggestions sounds great. Thank you!
The Chicago Diner is fabulous. Get the poutine.
Chicago is known for great deep-dish pizza. And I'm sure you can get some without meat and not too spicy. Also Pierogis which are dumplings stuffed with potato. (sometimes meat too, but vegetarian and non-spicy should be doable.)
Dcp, you're coming to town? Awesome.
I would totally take aurelia up on that tour. The show at the Goodman right now seems awesome too.
I may need to go to the cottage on Friday for Internet putting in. You or anyone are welcome if it's of interest. But my dad might be able to cover it.
I also have the benefit on Saturday night - link below. It will be awesome and for an awesome cause, but a little spendy. a Sox or Cubs game could be a lot of fun too if cheap tix can be found.
