Long security lines = longer than 20-30 minutes wait for the check? I have no idea how long they normally take.
Normally, no, but United is completely unpredictable in this regard (SFO is their hub and so they have their own terminal essentially). I want to say Hec (maybe?) missed a flight because of either luggage or security lines. I used to fly them for work and security could get bad in the mornings. Meara would probably know better me though.
Pix, assuming you still have the same cell# you did for Pasadena F2F, yes I have it. My number is still the same (and is stashed down in my profile if you need it again).
My plan is to leave here (Westlake/Thousand Oaks) about 12:00, so hopefully 1:30 is a realistic estimate for arriving (and parking, and walking/tramming up to the entrance, etc.)at the Getty Center.
Do you want me to call/text you at some point? Or assume we're a go unless I hear otherwise? Burrell, ditto?
If I recall (It's been too long since I've been to the Getty), parking is tight. Might make sense to meet elsewhere and carpool to the Getty.
Nope, there's a ton of parking. Huge garage with many levels.
Epic, yes, same number as the Pasadena F2F. I have to meet a group of hiking friends at 5:30 in Glendale, but I'll be able to spend a few hours. I'll just plan to arrive around 1 -- text me when you get there. We can meet at the top of the tram area.
And I am slowly drowning in grading and house stuff. May need to go to Sears or Lowes tomorrow to buy a new washer, in which case all bets are off.
My life! I'd like for just a bit more slack.
Yup, I missed getting Emmett on a flight at 7 am even though we were in the terminal an hour and a half before the flight.
That is bad. Usually the early morning ones are a safe bet.
Chicago - May 15th till May 20th
I'll be free evenings the 15th-17th and all day on the 18th. Let me know if you are interested in seeing this. [link]
Well I've had an eventful night. I was on my way to prom (chaperoning, way less fun than Buffista prom) and got rear-ended. No real injuries and my car is drivable, but I won't be going anywhere tomorrow since I have to take the car to the dealership to leave for Monday -- I also have already taken a lot of Advil and a Flexoril to ward off the stiff back and neck I can already feel coming on. The car is going to need, ND estimates, about $5K of repairs. Sigh.
So sorry, Epic. I really wanted to see you.
Oh my gosh, that sucks! Ugh. I'm glad you're okay, but ack. Hope the estimates come out to be less than that.
