Wow, Buffistas. I need a word that says "staring at the computer screen, overwhelmed with gratitude and joy", because that was a major part of the past week so it'll be handy. I feel as if I can't fully express 1/10 of that feeling. Thank you so much.
I'm perfectly OK with a shuttle to the PixDesigns house and see the rest of you in more reasonable hours of the weekend, but if for some reason you'd insist to come and see me in LAX, my flight will land there at 21:51.
As for cell phone number - I will buy a cell phone for local use during the trip, and will update you once I have a phone number. If you'd like my Israeli cell phone number, just email me.
Last but not least: as you might have noticed, this trip was planned hastily, and I know some Buffistas don't check the board so often. Could you help me spread the word, especially on regional F2Fs to other Buffistas who might be interested in meeting me? I'd hate it if I'll miss anyone in an AFK month.
In a case of a fine weather: spoilers.
Laistas, I'm happy to host a little cookout get-together at my house on that Saturday. I think ND will be working, but I'm available.
Oh, Shir, if you're going to be in LA and want to try some absolutely amazing (though rather expensive) vegan food, go to Crossroads.
Ah, 10pm-ish? Yeah, given how early I've been zoning out lately, shuttle might not be a bad idea.
OK, I was planning to come down to L.A. to see Shir but I may have to join -t for an SFO run as my cousin (who lives in China but is home in France renewing her visa) has decided to pop over to SF on almost exactly the same days. Once she finalizes her tickets I'll know more.
If we are doing Vegan food in LA then Real Food Daily is SO YUMMY!
Wow LA must be THE place for Vegans because I would recommend Cafe Gratitude.
I left my place later than intended, so timed my arrival to LA freeways exactly wrong, oops. But I made it and am safely ensconsed in my hotel (having run to the Carl's Jr for a quick salad for dinner), and am settling in nicely (especially now that the loud as heck guys in the adjoining room have gone away).
Pix, Burrell, I hope the timing works out for you guys to come out and play with me, but I certainly understand if Real Life gets in the way. Fingers crossed!
I'm all for vegan food in L.A. and other places. Do we need to reserve a table, or can we be spontaneous about it?
Speaking of which: for the cookout. Is raw tahini available in the L.A., or is it hard to find? Cause I can work magic with it.
technically there is no right time to be on the freeway.
If you care about random celebrity sightings Cafe Gratitude is a great place for them.
I can't speak to raw tahini but I'd be surprised if you couldn't find just about anything somewhere in LA.
