Awesomeness. Now I just have to figure out if we travel to Seattle, LA, Chicago, or NOLA to visit with you. Decisions...

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Starting to pin down details for my (substantially less exciting than Shir's) trip to LA this weekend. Are any LAistas close enough to the Westlake/Thousand Oaks area to be up for dinner (or movie or whatever) on Friday night?

I vote LA!
L.A. - May 8/9 till May 12 (no SF - sorry, megan and others)
Silly Shir, she thinks she can avoid me by not coming to SF. I mock her with my monkey pants.
Chicago is closer than NOLA but still quite far for me. I wish I could make it but I don't think I can. *sob*
Javachik, d'oh! and here I thought she was just across the Bay.
Oh bummer, sorry no SF visit, but it is nice to have more time in the other places. Pt. Townsend is *awesome.* Dear friends live there and I've been up there the last three, four summers. Lots to do and see.
So I'm going to fly a friend from an on-line book group out here to house/cat sit for me. We met at a F2F/book signing a few years ago.
Here's the sitch -- she's in or near Des Moines, Iowa. I'm not finding any direct flights out of Des Moines via travelocity, or United, and I know you get penalized for doing lots of searches.
Here's the question -- now that I know about Allegiant Airlines, the weirdo airline that flies between Oakland and Eugene, Oregon twice a week only, I wonder if there are other weirdo airlines like that in the midwest? If I could fly her cheaply to Denver, then UAL has lots of flights. Or cheaply to Austin, then Jet Blue (non searchable except on its own site) goes to Oakland.
Seasoned travelers have suggestions?
Apparently, Allegiant flies from Des Moines to both Las Vegas and L.A. and Frontier flies to Denver: [link]
Late to the party and no suggestions on cheap hop options, but if you do go through Denver and have time between flights, I could meet up with you at the airport!
Frontier flies to Denver.
Yes, yes it does. I'm sitting on a Frontier plane at the moment AIFG.
