I don't really have a security blanket... unless you count Mr. Pointy.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Apparently, Allegiant flies from Des Moines to both Las Vegas and L.A. and Frontier flies to Denver: [link]

Late to the party and no suggestions on cheap hop options, but if you do go through Denver and have time between flights, I could meet up with you at the airport!

Frontier flies to Denver.

Yes, yes it does. I'm sitting on a Frontier plane at the moment AIFG.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm sorry I'll miss you, Zen, but have fun in Ireland! Java cat, I'm sorry I'll miss you too.

Laga - I might go to Indianapolis for a day to see a friend (that's not certain, she might be able to come to Chicago). Would that help?

Shir's Chicago travel plans coincide with mine!

Woo-hoo!

Now I just have to figure out if we travel to Seattle, LA, Chicago, or NOLA to visit with you

Yay!

Silly Shir, she thinks she can avoid me by not coming to SF. I mock her with my monkey pants.

Dang it, the plan is foiled! Foiled!

Keeps waiting to the final OK for my plans from the magical travel agent

And oh, you guys know that if there's anything you want from here, well, just ask, right?

Off to fill this ESTA-for-a-visa thing

Update: Americans, your border security science (AKA ESTA) thingy approved I'm good to go. Yay!

(I'm so excited I can't stop shaking. There might be typos because of this)

Heard back from magical travel agent. I think I'll take this offer, it's fantastic, but I'd like to hear from you too. There is one major change: Chicago and New Orleans get switched. Once I'll approve the scheme, all of the tickets aren't gonna be refundable, so I'm also emailing those who said they'll host me to make sure it's OK with them.

Edit: I just need now smonster's final OK, and I'm ordering those tickets.

Here goes:

Tel Aviv to Seattle - May 2nd-3rd (oh yes, it's gonna be a very. long. ride).

Seattle, PT Townsend, Olympia - May 3rd till May 8th
L.A. - May 8th till May 12th
New Orleans - May 12th till May 15th
Chicago - May 15th till May 20th

Chicago to Tel Aviv - May 20th-21st.

I also talked with Nilly and she misses you and wants to see pictures of your children. All of them. Preferably now, via email. Seriously, whenever I mentioned a name - any name - the immediate response was "Oh wow, s/he's so wonderful!/You'll get to see their kids!". She also wondered if there's any way for her to be included in regional F2F via Skype.

Swouncing

wants to see pictures of your children. All of them.

Psst, Shir, it's "pictures of all of *you*, as well as of your children".

Yes, I've actually turned the computer on instead of whooshing through my after-work-before-daycare-is-over chores, and logged in, and even subscribed to this thread in order to try and even follow (!) it through Shir's USA trip.

I'm so excited for her! And your you guys (goodness, how much I miss posting with you!) for getting to finally meet her!

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Once you're in Indianapolis you might as well go to Chicago and I have friends I can stay with for free in Chicago but don't try to work me in. I'll catch you next time around. If you haven't seen the East Coast you haven't seen the US /tease.

"pictures of all of *you*, as well as of your children"

That must have been before you started calculating their children's ages and telling me about them in depth.

If you haven't seen the East Coast you haven't seen the US

I've seen it! Briefly. For 5 days. In 2007. Here, let me fix this:

If you haven't seen the East Coast with Buffistas you haven't seen the US.

OK, looks like I need a bit more of your help. Can anyone send to my email smonster's number? I need to get back to my travel agent ASAP with an answer and I need smonster's reply for that.
