Burrell & Pix,
I've been looking at the website for the Getty and am getting quickly overwhelmed. Do either of you have a strong preference for either the Villa or the Center? I'm completely open to either one, just bewildered at how to choose. (And seriously, how can I have this little knowledge of LA geography? It's ridiculous).
edit: ...and I just saw your most recent post in Natter, Burrell, sorry for being needy at you when you've already got so much on your plate. If you need to back-burner me for a bit, completely understood.
Second successful Chicago mini-F2F this week with aurelia & dcp!
Shir, could you send that spreadsheet link to my profile address as well? Like Brenda, my schedule can get complicated, but I'd like to see you while you're in Chicago.
Sorry Epic, I can't mentally coordinate right now, but I am here as sounding board. Until 3 when I go pick up my son.
Absolutely understood. Thanks for the help so far. I'll try to figure some details out offline & not add to your whelmedness today. Hope the kiddo's doing better & you have fun at your show.
It was great to meet aurelia and shrift. Thanks for the company and the conversation!
The pizza was good, but I burned the roof of my mouth a little. Worth it, though.
It was lovely! And I still have enough of that salad to feed a family of 4. Twice.
Shrift - insent, thank you!
Shir, could I have the link as well?
Of course, aurelia. Sent to your profile addy.
Epic, The Villa is in Malibu at the beach. It's gorgeous and the collection is only antiquities. It has a delicious cafe and a wine/coffee cart where you can sit and enjoy the view and the ocean. It's usually not quite as packed as the Center.
The Center is inland and much easier to get to, directly off 405. The collection there is much broader. The architecture is also phenomenal and it's nice to sit in the plaza and people watch. You can't go wrong with either.
