For all the talk about the Republican party falling apart, they did get 46% of the vote and would have done better if it were not for the economic crisis. I don't think they are in all that bad of shape if they can get a good line to take on health care and find a way to appeal to the Hispanic community.

But I think both will be difficult for them. They'll probably keep on looking for some "free market" approach to health care, and haven't they pretty much burned bridges to the Hispanic community for a generation?
