She might not get re-elected in 2010, but I doubt she'll get impeached.
Well, yeah. OTOH, she has managed to piss off a lot of the Republicans in the state legislature, right? At the very least I suspect they're going to make things difficult for her.
I was on the phone with a coworker in Juneau the other day, and he said that she's lost a lot of her popularity since the nomination because the folks in AK didn't really know everything she was up to (the per diem bullshit, taking her kids to conferences on the state dime, naming unqualified childhood friends to well-paid positions), and now that they do, things are changing.
So even if her popularity remains high among Alaskans in general, I wouldn't be surprised to see more pushback from the state legislature.
What a great set of pictures! Thanks for linking.
The girls both look so composed. I'd be freaking out - MY DADDY JUST GOT ELECTED PRESIDENT!!! OMG!!!!
I wonder if Chelsea Clinton and Amy Carter will swing by and teach the Obama girls all the nooks and crannies in the White House.
I guess there hasn't been a boy growing up in the White House for a while.
And see, this, this is classy: [link]

Who was the last? JFK Jr, right?
Today is apparently the day I'm going to be a moron. It would have been good to know this before I started trying to do work.
Doesn't Palin have to donate all her clothes and such now since they are no longer being used for the campaign?
I hear also a lot of it is "lost."
That's what I was expecting.
Flickr set of the Obamas behind the scenes on Election Night. May be allergy-inducing.
This one is fantastic: [link]
My god, they are SUCH a beautiful family!
Best-looking First Family since the Kennedys. (Actually, I never got the "JFK = hott" thing, so I'm willing to say the best-looking First Family, period.)
