Immediate impact: The airport closest to Obama's home, Midway, has no runway long enough to accommodate the 747 often used as Air Force One. Which means Obama is likely to land at O'Hare and head south on the Kennedy Expressway, causing annoying tie-ups. One alterative would be for him to travel by helicopter from O'Hare.
O'Hare to Hyde Park? Eep. I'd say get a new Air Force 1.
True, but I still hope they see more of their Daddy, now he's working from home most days.
And really he doesn't need to travel anywhere if he just uses CNN's hologram technology.
And the AP is reporting that Rahm has accepted the position of COS.
The AP is calling North Carolina for Obama, and Oregon for Merkley.
Yep, MSNBC is calling NC for Obama, too. Yay!

Maybe they could stick an aircraft carrier in Lake Michigan for him to fly to....

I don't know much about Rahm is this a yay?

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner would work pretty well.

Screw that. Starfleet Shuttlecraft.

Dollars to doughnuts Sorkin thinks it is. To go all fannish, reality just totally Kripked him.
If nothing else, Rahm Emanuel means things are gonna get done.
When I was watching the Grant Park festivities on Tuesday night, I thought that this will help Chicago's bid for the Olympics in 2016, and I read yesterday in the Tribune that I wasn't the only one thinking that. If Obama wants to, he can definitely add cache and a lot of pow-factor to the bid, as did other heads of state.
