We were sold out of our four copies of each within minutes after we opened that morning.
You only have four copies of each paper? That's so sad.
I'm glad I kept my Sun subscription so I have the paper from yesterday but I really think I'm going to get rid of it now. It's so worthless AND isn't even running the current Doonesbury strips this week! it's running reruns for some unexplained reason. Annoying!
The AP is calling North Carolina for Obama, and Oregon for Merkley.
For the next four years, the Obamas will finally eat dinner together.
You know, unless he's busy being President.
So much this. I mean, it's a nice thought, but I don't see Michelle calling everybody to the table at six every night, you know?

True, but I still hope they see more of their Daddy, now he's working from home most days.

It's just a Barnes & Noble, so newspapers aren't a big thing for us to sell (as opposed to the grocery or convenience store). Also, we just changed our policy so that, instead of having them on display next to the magazines, we've had to put them behind the counter. Too many people were taking the paper over to the cafe, reading it all while having their cuppa joe, and leave the paper in messed-up pieces all over the table, so we couldn't sell it. Some customers complained about the move, but too damn bad.
Immediate impact: The airport closest to Obama's home, Midway, has no runway long enough to accommodate the 747 often used as Air Force One. Which means Obama is likely to land at O'Hare and head south on the Kennedy Expressway, causing annoying tie-ups. One alterative would be for him to travel by helicopter from O'Hare.
O'Hare to Hyde Park? Eep. I'd say get a new Air Force 1.

And really he doesn't need to travel anywhere if he just uses CNN's hologram technology.
And the AP is reporting that Rahm has accepted the position of COS.

Yep, MSNBC is calling NC for Obama, too. Yay!

Maybe they could stick an aircraft carrier in Lake Michigan for him to fly to....
