And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And I wonder who's getting Obama's seat?

If called, I will serve.

“Not dead yet!”

If called, I will serve.

And as first order of business, will create the district of Buffista Island.

Obama's seat and Biden's seat. Biden's committee involvement also. I thought I would be all politiced out, but apparently not.

I refrained from posting a nasty gram to the adoption board.

I just looked at my county results.

It broke 60/40 in favor of McCain/Palin. But I got my choice on that one overall.

It broke 52/46 for Jay Nixon the democrat running for governor. His opponent was a bit of a lightweight. 2 for 2 so far.

54/43 for the Republican Lt. governor. 2-1 for me.

54/43 for the Democratic S.O.S. She's a Carnahan, so no surprise there. Blew away her opponent statewide. 3 and 1.

50/50 for the Democratic Attorney General Koster and he took the state so 4 and 1.

57/43 in U.S. rep race for Republican Turk over Democrat Cleaver, but Cleaver won 65/35 in the entire district. 5 and 1.

State treasurer went to the Republican in the county, Democrat in the state. 6 and 1, though this wasn't one I cared about. I lost both state senator and state rep so 6 and 3. I won some of the other local offices, I voted Republican some there. So 8 and 4.

Admendment #1 which made English the only language to be used in state communications I lost. It when 93/7 for in my county. Now you can't even have state Internet websites or forums in any language other than English. Boo.

I lost on a couple other propositions as well. Oh well.

Not a bad election for me.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I checked each county or equivalent I've lived in. Biggest surprise -- the county where I grew up, which I remember as a Republican stronghold (except for the black community in the second largest town), went for Obama 64% to 35%.

Yeah, the short version on the ballot doesn't sound so bad, but the long version really indicates the breadth of the restrictions.

I was actually surprised that McCain/Palin only won by 60/40 in my county. But you can't judge by yard sign percentages alone.
