Speaking of dresses, I still can't get past that black wraparound thing Michelle Obama had on her dress last night. She would have looked so much better without it. (shallow, I know)
It was an unfortunate dress.
Hope on Prop 8
I sincerely hope that is the case. It just seems odd to me that you can amend the constitution with a simple majority.

I like this quote: It will have to be litigated but we will prevail.
CNN is still saying MO is too close to call, but leaning to McCain. The difference seems to be 6,000 votes.
I'm cheering myself up by watching the French news. Given that it is not a "smiley" culture, it's nice to see the obvious glee of those reporting on the elections.
Michelle's dress was fine; it was the wrap that effed everything up.
Now I just want people to stop comparing Obama to JFK. That did not end well!
Happy birthday, CaBil!

I know, right??
Among all the other firsts, Obama is the first Chicago politician ever to be elected President.
I can't say I particularly noticed Michelle Obama's dress last night. But generally she seems to have a Jackie Kennedy vibe about her. An elegance that seems all the more elegant because it's natural and unforced.
I want to be excited about Obama. I really do. But I remember getting excited about Clinton in 1992 and how disappointing that turned out to be. As well as (though I was too young to vote then) Carter in 1976. So I'll wait and see what Obama actually does before getting excited.

I know! It makes no sense.

I predict: MO to McCain, NC to Obama.
