The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do we have word on Prop 8

Still not looking good, with 36% reporting right now.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Shir, it was more a...karmic apology? to my father.

Nilly, oh, a backrub! Would kill for one!

Ha. All the MO amendments I voted for passed, except the English language one, but I am SO mot shocked on that one. Must check light rail..

EDIT: Light railed failed. Again. AND....I am turning the computer OFF. Night, all! Sweet, sweet dreams!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Comedy Central is now showing America's Choice! [edit: Pacific]

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

The strangest thing happened tonight. there was a drum circle in town at the flag pole. We sang patriotic songs. Instead of feeling sick, I cried. It has been awhile. There are many places I disagree with Obama--but I will not argue with hope

Oh, beth, I love the way you put it.

In my case, it's less a matter of agreeing or disagreeing, but rather of being ignorant of way too many of the issues, and, um, of course, being from a completely different country. But still.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hey, does anyone know why Daily Kos and the Guardian are still being coy about Georgia? That's a pretty definite margin with almost all the precincts in, I would've thought.

I'm sooooo excited about Obama, but looking at the rest of the stuff, I am so terribly dismayed at all the state ballot measures about gay people that are looking like every single one went badly. Even Prop 8 is not looking good. Even shit that isn't about marriage like letting gays adopt children. All that hate makes me want to cry. Putting that stuff in constitutions makes me want to cry. And I'm trying to remind myself that there have been such strides, and that heck, maybe in another generation we'll have a gay president! :) But in the meantime, there are so many people I love and care about who got married (including Buffistas!) in California, and it seemed like such a possibility. Like such strides were being made. Like it was moving forward without the two steps back. Like someday soon, I might be able to marry someone I love in my choice of *many* states, not just one or two.

Sorry for the late night dismay. But....damnit! Come on, California! When I wake up, I want good news!!!

And in non-political daily affairs, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is CaBil's birthday.

Happy birthday, CaBil! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year.
