I think this is an example of how disconnected I am from the majority of American people, because to me, Obama looks reasoned, smart and thoughtful. McCain seems like he i smirking, condescending and lying and strikes me in body language like a smarmy smiling piece of slime. And I had really no particular hatred for him before tonight. I think the smile and the misplaced confidence make him seem comforting to people who are not me.

I Tivo'd the debate while I was napping, but I just jumped to the present because I can't take watching the first part if it's going in McCain's favor as he lies and lies. I just can't. I trust all of your commentary to this point and am just going to go with that.

I hate the way McCain too. Maybe all that smarm and contempt and arrogance won't go over well. But it never has hurt arrogant bastards in the past 30 years.
