Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

More NC:

In 2004, John Kerry won 27% of white voters in North Carolina.

In 2008, Barack Obama is winning 37%.

Also, biggest applause of the night for Hagan (not called but sorta-kinda projected).

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

538 has called Hagen over Dole.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

fivethirtyeight says that Kay Hagen beat Elizabeth Dole.

Now tagless for your comfort.

JZ just called. She spent the whole day canvassing and is dead tired.

Aww.

She pounded the pavement for democracy.

She deserves a foot rub!

When I moaned that canvassing the Castro was kind of a wasted effort she pointed out that it helped give the party more accurate counts.

We were visited by canvassers today, too. They were just triple checking. Owen read one of the woman's Obama t-shirt and when I asked him who was going to be the next president said, "Barack Obama." It made the women very happy.

“Not dead yet!”

I got a call from the local RNC today, making sure I voted.

I told them I did.

They asked if I would mind sharing who I voted for.

I told the nice lady, "If I said I thought the Republican Vice-presidential candidate didn't have the intellectual capabilities or ethics of a single-celled organism and the idea that she could be within a heartbeat of the presidency terrified me, would that give you a clue?"

Yup. I got home earlier and had to take a nap. DST is kicking my ass.
