Bwah! Republicans are calling for Obama to fill his cabinet with stalwart Republicans.
Yeah, because Republicans put a lot of Democrats into the cabinet, didn't they?
It's like how some Republicans are all of a sudden concerned about increasing the size of government, or the dangers of one party controlling both the presidency and Congress.
I want nothing more than a landslide and control of both houses adn then I will scream from the rooftops - mandate motherfucker mandate!!!
A voting story of a young person from Virginia (on Sullivan) - here's my favorite part:
The exit had a small huddle of college kids offering terrorist fist-bumps and a thanks to everyone as they left. I'd held the door for an older woman to leave in front of me. Glad I did as I got to watch her reaction to the excitement. She couldn't stop giggling at them as she mastered the bump.
The View From Your Election: Virginia
I have not mastered the reply-all button: as in I forget to use it and ahrg.
From the AP: Both parties expect Democratic Senate pickups
Democrats were optimistic that the only two Democratic senators who will lose their Senate seats as a result of the national elections will be Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
Heh.
Sara - did you see this : [link]
Senate - I think that 57 seats is likely, but 60 is a possibility. I am very curious to see how the Alaskan Senate race goes - Uncle Ted might still be able to squeak by, but he might not. That's quite possibly where the 60th Dem seat will come from.
Not matter what, AK will go for McCain. Of course.
I just had a meeting with someone who was talking about what we can expect if McCain wins. I was like, but he won't!! She was like, we don't know that...
Eek!!!
The children in my office--some of whom wouldn't be able to vote if they hadn't lowered the voting age to 18--are complaining, "They're only voting for Obama so they can have free welfare." I don't want to engage with that much silliness, so I ignore them. If Obama wins, I'm getting a picture to put up in my cubicle.
