John McCain wasn't born in America. IS HE EVEN ELIGIBLE?!?!?
And what about Obama's mother?? She hadn't lived in a US state as an adult!!!
It does kind of crack me up that they both have oddities in their actual birth circumstances.
All posters with names starting "Jess" seem to have gone crazy. pass it on.
ION - Gothamist has a piece up now about the voting stickers or lack therof.
I got a sticker this time! And I'm going to wear it all damned day, even though I'm normally opposed to emblazonment.
There are people in my ceiling.
I need to go to another meeting now.
I love reading election coverage from other countries.
From a BBC News article titled "No Apathy on Election Day:
At this point, the odds remain in favour of an Obama win. But it's not the bookmakers who will decide the result of the election; it's the American people.
And after the longest, most expensive and, according to many veteran observers, most inspiring election campaign in living memory, they are about to make that decision.
Rarely can their choice have seemed so consequential for the country, or the world.
I couldn't agree more.
No, it's true. I mean, it's not true that either of them is ineligble to be president, but they both have things that could read as issues.
ION, Teen's 'Fantastic' new name 'Super' long
GLASTONBURY, England, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A British 19-year-old has officially changed his name to "Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined."
The Glastonbury, England, teenager -- originally named George Garratt -- said his new name, which is thought to be the world's longest, has so outraged his grandmother that she is no longer speaking to him, The Telegraph reported Monday.
The teen said he used an online service to officially change his name for a $20 fee.
"I wanted to be unique," Captain Fantastic said of his name choice. "I decided upon a theme of superheroes."
How fast is Wolverine, anyway?
My sister posted in her LJ this morning that coffee shops in Indonesia are selling "Obama blend" which is half-Indonesian and half-Kenyan. Maybe she can fly there (from Macau) and buy me some.
Actually, I'd rather turn those fuckers over to Rachel and let her kick them in the junk or something, but I think if someone got charged for it and the book thrown, somebody might catch a clue. Sent my ballot in last week. Cool, but anti-climactic. Be careful about the exit polls...they're misleading sometimes.
Mmmmm. That sounds like a damn tasty coffee blend.
