I think pupusas are Salvadoran. Cornmeal and cheesy stuffed goodness. Never had one until I went to a Salvadoran place in DC. They remind me of a denser, cornbreadier gordita (NM gordita, not Taco Bell.)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Cornmeal is AWESOME.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I like these Mars Phoenix Epitaphs:

Tell Voyager I love her.
Will I Dream ?
I think, I'll wait here for a while.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I have never had pupusas, even though there are pupuserias on every block around here. Must remedy that.

You really really must. There was a Salvadoran deli around the corner from me in Montreal and nom nom nom. I learned how to make them once when I was working with refugees from ES but that skill is sadly lost to me now.

Frontline is on election 2008 and they are airing parts of Obama's speech to the 2004 convention. I was on the phone with my parents with it on closed-caption, and I remember saying "You have to turn this on. NOW. You have to hear this. I gotta go."

I didn't expect 2008, but I knew I was seeing something at that time.

hip deep in pie

Someday, sometime, I won't feel compelled to report this. Until then, sorry David.

I am right there with you sarameg. Clio and Jake seem to be getting along well, though Clio seems to resent Jake's presence on the 2nd floor. And feeding them is confusing right now. I have to settle on a schedule and get them eating the same food.

Our wings are not tired.

Our polls are open 7am - 7pm. DH expects to walk right in and vote tomorrow. I voted early because I expect a madhouse. We shall see.

There is nothing we can do now to make up for 2000, but I do hope my state manages to produce results in a timely fashion. It would be extra special nice if they get the choice right too.

Sue, you have my sympathy. And empathy. And exasperation. 3 cats, 3 different foods, one largely on wetfood, the other 2 on dry (but who think that wetfood is yummy crack) and...oy. I never had feeding schedules until the past month.

I was able to plop Dev with Loki in a catbed and they didn't erupt or even care, much. But later Devi got a little intent with the bedroom door open, so I had to shut that down.

Heh. And all of us in Illinois were calling our friends elsewhere and going "Do you see? Now do you see?"

Still wouldn't have expected it to be 08, but damn. That man is something special.
