Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

Sue, you have my sympathy. And empathy. And exasperation. 3 cats, 3 different foods, one largely on wetfood, the other 2 on dry (but who think that wetfood is yummy crack) and...oy. I never had feeding schedules until the past month.

I was able to plop Dev with Loki in a catbed and they didn't erupt or even care, much. But later Devi got a little intent with the bedroom door open, so I had to shut that down.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Frontline is on election 2008 and they are airing parts of Obama's speech to the 2004 convention. I was on the phone with my parents with it on closed-caption, and I remember saying "You have to turn this on. NOW. You have to hear this. I gotta go."

Heh. And all of us in Illinois were calling our friends elsewhere and going "Do you see? Now do you see?"

Still wouldn't have expected it to be 08, but damn. That man is something special.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There are three Starbucks just on my campus. Used to be four, but one of them was swapped out for another coffee shop. There's a guy with a coffee cart who hung anti-Starbucks signs all over his cart when one opened right in front of where he always is in front of the library. I would have tried to buy more coffee from him, but his coffee is really bad.

[link] Uneasy bedmates (you can see my fingers. I was petting Devi to give positive reinforcement.)

msbelle, that is an incredibly loaded, hard thing to explain to a new citizen who is your son. And I'm proud that you can do it and hell yeah, reason to be riled up. I teared up just reading your post. I'm just glad he's got someone like you.

OMG, I would go bananas.

Bungee corded bedroom door. That's my answer. Thank goodness Devi largely leaves MK's food alone. Mostly. If I give her crackier crack (aka fancy feast. Even though she's on touchy-tummy food, I'll risk it.) My cats get better medical care and diet than I do.

Jake is up on the desk, giving me headbutts. Clio is glaring at me, as if to say, "You are doing that with him to my face."

Except now, Clio seems transfixed by Heidi Klum.
