Parties? - Yes. Many. Nerd points lost.
Were they nerd parties? Because you could make up points there.

nerd-adjacent
There was a nerd quiz a while back, in which I scored as Nerd Friendly, with a good future as a translator between Nerds and Squares. "Tell the nerd we're going to need overtime this weekend." "Scotty, we need more power from the dilithium crystals!" "Och, I'm not a miracle worker!" "He'll do it, but he wants you to pay for the pizza."
I wonder what the criteria for nerd-adjacent would be?
Also, I love any article that mentions Encyclopedia Brown!
Hmmm, perhaps I have just answered my own question.
Special link for tommyrot: Neil Young converted his 1959 Lincoln Continental to run on electricity and natural gas. He's also created a business called LincVolt that will convert other cars.

No, definitely not nerd parties, a good number who broken up by the police. But wait... I was a perennial designated driver and one time I helped a naked, drunk girl get all her clothes back and wrapped her in my coat so she could warm up.
Let's see:

It's the locker kids argument.

Heh. I've heard about that a long time ago. Been waiting for him to finish it, so I could see pictures.
Young found himself behind the wheel of a 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV convertible. At 2 1/2 tons and 19 1/2 feet long, it was the longest car built in its era.
Bah. It's about 5400 lbs, so more than 2 1/2 tons. 18' 11' long (I know because I had a damn hard time finding a garage big enough. My current garage has about 1 1/2" to spare, when I park it with the tail fins touching the back wall.)
His car is in way-nice shape, but the non-original hubcaps bug me.
ita, Code-9 thread at TWOP. Apparently, it's more AU/scifi than regular spy stuff.
Not so important that I need to say it twice.
(I'm only update through season 4 of Spooks.)
