Falling back... does that mean an extra hour of sleep?
Yeah, it may or may not mean extra sleep, just extra time. I actually heard a guy ranting yesterday about The Man screwing the workers out of an extra hour of work. OK, first of all, only on overnight shifts, and second of all, if you're still there in the spring, you get it back!
Tom, I hope things look better this morning.
Ben Affleck was pretty funny on SNL -- clearly he came in with impressions prepared!
I just was watching you tube videos of Godspell with Victor Garber, and they ended the song "All for the Best" singing and dancing on the partially constructed Twin Towers. Whoa unexpected punch to the gut. Singing "All your wrongs will be redressed" and "Someone's got to be oppressed, adn then pulling away to show the short little towers.

I remember my dad talking about that when he was HR head for a hospital, where you do have lots of overnight staff. Because of course people should get paid for that extra hour, but in the spring people don't want to be docked for the hour that they would have been working on any other weekend.
Oh, I get that it's an actual thing for overnight shifts, but I'm pretty sure the whole thing isn't a tool of The Man. Or, it is, but not for that reason.
I made myself pancakes to pass the time. Now I feel bloated and gigantic.
I'm going to try sleeping again. Man, what I wouldn't give for an effective non-altering painkiller.
I would think overnight shifters would have to be paid for the hours worked in each instance. It might not be all the same people working the shift in the spring.

He cracked himself up a couple of times doing Olbermann.
Even McCain was funny. He was at least willing to make fun of himself. When Palin was on I'm sure she was trying to show what a good sport she was, but she didn't actually participate in any jokes. It was weird and a little creepy.
Yeah, McCain was all right.
I've had an orange mango banana Vivanno and I'm avoiding the treadmill. I guess watching the Sunday political lineup could be my reward for an hour but man, I'm lazy.
Oh damn you, Berkeley Breathed--
Damned allergies.
Awwww. Goodnight, Opus.
I can't get Berkeley Breathed's Web site to load; I'm sure it's getting more hits today than it's ever gotten.

Yeah, I couldn't get it to load either.
