Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

“Not dead yet!”

I can't get Berkeley Breathed's Web site to load; I'm sure it's getting more hits today than it's ever gotten.

Yeah, I couldn't get it to load either.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I can see all the students who "borrowed" something from the costume shop to wear for Halloween without asking! I am so tempted to comment asking if they plan on drycleaning before returning!

Oh, you SO should. Just tell them to in comments. "You look GREAT -- be sure you dryclean that before you bring it back."

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So. Damn. Angry. With. My. Student.

Sigh.

I'm at Starbucks and I've been grading for over an hour now. My students turned in 6-10 page papers on King Lear, using secondary sources.

And one girl literally copied 20 pages of Spark Notes, slapped her name on. In the reflection, she wrote about the whole thing was hard and how her paper was erased 3 times so she gave up then she still turned in that shit.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING?

Upside is one less paper to read.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING?

Fear the Wrath of Kat.

I was showing Matilda pictures online and she declared, "I like the Baby Dylan."

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm feeling a lot better this morning. Thanks, Kat, for chatting with me last night.

I went and got a bagel with lox and cream cheese, and had breakfast in Prospect Park this morning. It was nice, the foliage is at its peak right now, but unfortunately, it didn't warm up this morning as much as I thought it would. So now I'm back home.

hip deep in pie

The first day of Daylight savings is very wintry here, and yet adn I think I am going out in it again. But not to get a grilled cheese sandwich, which is what I am really craving.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ooo Kat, I've had that student myself. Grrrr!

I'm glad you had a nice morning, Tom. We're trying to convince the kids to go out for a post-shower stroll. Silly kids don't get what a rarity this is.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

yeah, I've been out and about a couple times today in Salem and it is beautiful!

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm guessing Affleck is a "Countdown" fan. Maybe that's why there were so many posts about his "embarrassment" and what not. Or maybe it's cause Keith was watching.
