Spike: Ladies. Come on in. Plenty of blood in the fridge, don't be shy. Dawn: You mean like, real blood? Spike: What do you think? Dawn: Mostly I think, 'Eew!'

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Thanks, Tom -- love the expressions.

I just discovered that somebody I knew from writing workshops and online discussion groups (GEnie) is a regular writer for Daily Kos. How about that!?

Happy Birthday Ginger!

This waking up early on weekends thing is getting old. Despite going to bed at a fairly decent time last night, I woke up at 6 and haven't been able to get back to sleep when I've tried, resulting in me feeling vaguely headache-y and tired all day.

Did track down an $11 hibachi lobster lunch special and do laundry though, so at least the day wasn't entirely unproductive.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

HMOG, Terry Tate has returned!

This made my day. Too funny.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Ginger!

Long day canvassing today. Tired but the overall experience wasn't too bad. Made some good contact with people and didn't have any really negative interactions. I'm scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, too.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy birthday, Ginger!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Wow, we had a bad day. mac got some $$ for Halloween and wanted to go buy a toy with it. Our local toy store did not have what he wanted, so I suggested going to Target. Well, Target was out also and I refused to pony up the money to buy a similar but larger version. He worked himself up over a good half an hour and then....meltdown. We went a good 2.5 months with no physical outbursts, so I guess that is still worth something, but pulling a 7 year old on the subway and bites and kicks - not a good time. big ups to Jesse for assistance.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eh -- moral support only.

Happy Birthday Ginger!

I'm spending this weekend in Carrboro/Chapel Hill, and it's lovely! I got to see Amyth, listen to Billy Bragg at an early voting concert, ramble around town, and get my plants ready for winter. I canvassed in Durham last night, and I have next Tuesday off for whatever the Obama team needs me for, but tomorrow's all about unstructured time.
